About This Cottage
This cottage is also unique. It is boldly decorated in dark teal and cream with contemporary country decor. The room is accented by queen size the canopy bed, which sets next to the large two-person Jacuzzi. You can snuggle up on the love seat in front of the fireplace or enjoy listening to the birds from the porch swing on the back porch. Either way the thrill of romance abounds in this unique setting. It boasts an over sized jacuzzi tub for two, gas fireplace, kitchenette, private porch with swing and rockers, TV with DVD player, WIFI and a large bathroom with a big stand up shower. We provide two fresh, soft robes for you to lounge around in during your stay. The main house serves breakfast daily in the dining room where you can mingle and socialize with others or you can have the luxury of our big southern breakfast delivered to your cottage. It is set up perfectly to accommodate a couple for their anniversary, honeymoon or just a romantic getaway.
Where the name came from.
Pink Lady’s Slipper is a very attractive and popular plant because of the strange and beautiful pink flower. It is also rare and needs to be left alone in the few places it is surviving. The plant is actually an orchid with the alternate name of moccasin flower. The plant has two wide basal leaves that stay horizontal and a single stalk growing to about a foot high bearing the pink flower. Lady slippers are one of the most unique of the mountain wildflowers and always a thrill to find. Sarah can tell you where to find them in April.
